When: Saturday, October 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
What: Free Pumpkin Patch with bounce house, carnival games, food, and a costume contest at 12:00 p.m.

More Information: Hosted by the Big Bear Lions Club. Each child 12 and under gets one free pumpkin while supplies last. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Halloween in The Village
When: Thursday, October 31, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
What: Family-friendly trick-or-treating through The Village, with live music, a pet costume contest, and plenty of candy from local shops.

Oktoberfest Halloween Spooktacular Weekend
When: Saturday and Sunday, October 26–27 (check the Big Bear Oktoberfest for exact times)
What: The final weekend of Big Bear’s famous Oktoberfest, featuring costume contests, live German bands, dancing, and seasonal food and drinks.

Big Scare: Carnival of Chaos
When: October 24–30, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
What: Enter if you dare! The Carnival of Chaos returns to Big Bear’s Swim Beach with haunted carnival games, spooky lights, and eerie entertainment that will keep your heart racing. This free event is perfect for thrill-seekers looking for a fright-filled night by the lake.

Halloween Hike: Dark Legends of Big Bear
When: Friday and Saturday nights throughout October. Friday hikes run 9:00–10:30 p.m.; Saturday hikes offer two sessions, 7:00–8:30 p.m. and 9:00–10:30 p.m.
What: A lantern-guided night hike into the forest, filled with chilling tales of Big Bear’s dark legends, ghost stories, and UFO sightings. The 1.5-hour hike covers about one mile and is limited to 12 participants per group for an intimate, eerie experience.

The Haunted Supper

The evening features a gourmet meal, drinks, and a live paranormal investigation led by renowned mediums and ghost hunters Tammie Chavez and Tawney Lewis. Guests are invited to come as they are—or dress in 1920s attire for an extra touch of vintage mystery.
